REGISTRATION INFORMATION: Class fees are payable IN FULL upon registration and refunded if CSG cancels the class. A refund for STORE CREDIT ONLY is provided if you cancel no later than one week before class begins; however, no credit or transfers to other classes can be allowed after this time. You may, of course, let someone else come in your place. You may register by mail or at the shop. We will be glad to answer any questions; just call 410-263-3897. Students: Please come with all your supplies to the first class. In order to keep our class fees down to a minimum; we ask your cooperation in using your class discount to purchase the majority of your fabrics and supplies at Cottonseed Glory. We appreciate your understanding and support.

September

	Free Machine Quilting Event This is a chance for those of you who want to learn free-motion quilting and who do not already own a Bernina Machine with the wonderful Bernina Stitch Regulator (BSR). We will furnish the machine and the fabric kit for this class and teach machine quilting as you make our pretty free-form tree pillow. No experience necessary! Yes, everything is FREE, but please sign up early as we will have one machine per student. Two sessions: either morning, 10:30-12:30, or afternoon, 1:30-3:30. Sat. Sept. 11.
	Beginners One Day Quilting Experience - "The Zen Quilt" Easy enough for a beginner, but the results are satisfying even for experienced quilters who love to play with color. Carolin Head’s version is done in cool deep green, blue and purple batiks, but this pattern will adapt well to many color and fabric choices and can be made in your choice of sizes. You’ll love it! Sat. Sept. 18. 10:30-3:30. $45.
S	"Simply a Pleasure" Table Runner What a great time for a new table runner! Make it for everyday or for the holiday season. This one is beautiful—and easy enough so that you can make one for all occasions and for gifts. Tuesday, Sept. 28. 10:30-3:30. $45. Pam Harrell.
	Beginning Heirloom Machine Quilting Turn that stack of quilt tops into finished quilts! You’ll learn free-motion quilting techniques including stippling, following a design without ever turning your quilt, using the walking foot for straight line work, handling even the largest quilts all with pucker-free backs. No prior experience needed and just a basic straight stitch is used. Two classes to chose from: mornings 9/8 & 9/15, 10:30-12:30; OR, evenings 9/8 & 9/15 7:00-9:00. $55. 	Indigo Junction "Grids and Grommets" Purse Make this very attractive bag that uses grommets ( like shower curtain rings) that are used to gather the closing and hold the handles of this bag. All you need is a fabric you love and you are on your way to a great fall wardrobe addition--or a great gift to have ready for the holidays. Join this fun class with Rhoda Campbell. 	Beginning Sewing - Amy Butler's Hourglass Decorator Pillows This beginning sewing class with Loris Nebbia will get you started on just the right foot. Pick some great fabrics and make one or more of these handsome pillows. You would pay big $$’s for pillows like this in a trendy store! Learn from the very beginning to use your sewing machine, how to cut out and read a pattern and so much more. Wed. 9/29. 7:00-9:30. $36. 	Judy's Original Woven Tiny Tumbling Blocks Bag Judy has just won a blue ribbon on this bag and you will see why. The amazing tiny blocks are actually achieved by weaving strips of fabric! The results are astounding! We had never seen anything like it and are very excited to have her come to teach. Don’t miss this one! Sat. 9/25. 10:30-3:30. $45.
	Starry Wallhanging This quilt uses a streamlined construction technique for the star points. The center star block is surrounded by fourteen smaller stars. A special technique and tool make this difficult appearing project simple to construct. (You don’t have to tell anyone—just accept the compliments!) Thurs. 9/16. 10:30-3:30. $45. Pat Brousil.

	Beginning Quilting Make this wonderful patchwork quilt with Pat Brousil as you learn all the basic rotary cutting and machine piecing skills you need to be successful. See why this is such an "addictive" pastime. Wed. 10/6, 10/13 & 10/20. 7:00-9:00. $60. Pat Brousil.
	Elegant Well-Fitted Sweatshirt Jacket This is unlike other sweatshirt jackets and classes in that considerable time will be devoted to making your jacket fit you perfectly and in a length becoming to you. (This can be applied to all future garments you make.) Add to that a beautiful patchwork design, figure-flattering slant pockets and beautiful finishing touches and you have a very, very special jacket! The sample jacket is gorgeous in batiks. 	Blooming Nine-patch With Maria O'Haver Nine patch blocks merge into each other from the center out to the edges of this quilt in a blended water-color fashion. Maria will show you all the tricks and techniques to make it happen in your quilt plus tips useful in all your quilts. Sat 10/2. 10:30-4:00. $50.
	Beginning Hand Appliqué With Kelly Kout Learn all the basic skills for successful hand appliqué as you make this beautiful floral block with Kelly. You’ll see why this very portable form of needlework is so popular. Sunday afternoon 10/3, 1:00-5:00 $45.
	Gorgeous "Knotty" Batik Basket Probably the single most spectacular thing I saw at Spring Quilt Market, this gorgeous basket uses different techniques, but is not hard to make. Come see our sample! Sunday afternoon. 10/24. 1:00-5:00. $45. Alberta McCall.
	Wildflowers Machine Appliqué & Embroidery This spectacular quilt done in batiks features individual wild flower blocks that are appliquéd and then embellished with embroidery both done using your machine embroidery unit. This can be done on any make of machine with embroidery capacity and is suitable for a BEGINNER, but full of tips on stabilizers, hooping, threads and tensions for those who have some experience. 	Beginning Sewing - Slumber Buns Pajama Pants In this our second “learn to sew” class, you will learn how to use a garment pattern, cut it out and begin sewing your comfy and cute pants. 	Ice Crystals Never fear a Y-seam or an inset seam again!! Bernie King will show you how to master them effortlessly as you make this unusual and very dramatic wallhanging. (This could also be bordered to make the center of a larger quilt.) Bernie will even make it fun! For quilters with some experience. Sat. 10/16. 10:30-3:30. $45.
	Gift Wrapped Pick one special fabric you love and a few others to go with it and make this quilt with Pam Harrell. Pam chose one of our wonderful new holiday prints. The coordinating fabrics make the swirling ribbons in each block. This is a beautiful and unusual all-pieced design. Sat. 10/30. 10:30-3:30. $45.
	Winterscape - Moon Over Snowy Peaks Join Jinny Siever to make this winter landscape. Layer strips of fabrics to create snow, mountains, and sky, then add machine stitching to create depth, dimension, and detail. Sat 10/23. 10:30-3:30. $45.

	Maria's Stack and Whack Table Runner Get spectacular results that will amaze you from one great fabric. You will stack up the repeats and cut them, then sew them into blocks that will all be different from each other--even though they came from just the one fabric. Maria will show how it’s done—no special ruler needed. So full of surprising results that you just can’t stop sewing! Come see Maria’s table runner done from her blocks. Sat. 11/6. 10:30-3:30. $45. 	A "Crabby" Little Quilt Just two easy foundation-pieced blocks combine to make these crabs. Then you will learn to use Texture Magic to create the perfect texture for their “shells.” You’ll be learning two techniques in this great class with Pat Brousil. Sat. 11/20. 10:30-3:30. $45.
	New York Beauty Beautiful art for your wall! Use foundation piecing to achieve the slender points in the wonderful piece. Often feared as a very, very intimidating pattern, the New York Beauty becomes easy and do-able with foundation piecing—the technique that makes the most impossible designs easy. 	Piecing By Hand - Castle Wall If you’ve ever wanted a portable project or just something to take to the family room to work on, this is the perfect class. You’ll work on the beautiful “Castle Wall” block with Pat Brousil as you learn just how to sit and sew and relax just about anywhere. Thur. 11/18 10:30-3:30. $45.

"Sparkle" Have fun with an exciting assortment of fabrics you love as you make this very appealing quilt with Pam Harrell. It’s very easy, yet unusual, and fun to make. Sat. 12/4. 10:30-3:30. $45.

Ongoing Classes

These classes are FREE with the purchase of your machine from Cottonseed Glory. (Modest fees apply to others.) Classes are designed to help you discover all the wonderful features of your Bernina and feel comfortable in using it, plus how to clean, oil and maintain your machine. Although there is no charge, PLEASE CALL TO REGISTER—so that we can keep class sizes at a comfortable level. Bring to class: your machine, all the attachments, your Guide Book, good quality thread, extra bobbins, your knee lifter, if included, and a small pair of scissors. For the BSR & Quilting class and the Embroidery Guide also bring the additional supplies listed with the classes below.

Handi-Quilter Clubs are continuing lessons on using your wonderful machine. There is also show & tell with projects you have made and questions you might have or tips from members to share. It is an open forum with lots of sharing of ideas in addition to the class format. Usually, there is hands-on time on the machine included. It is FREE if you purchased your machine here. (A $35 fee per meeting or $100 for 3 consecutive meetings applies if you purchased at another location not offering support.) Please e-mail or call to register so I know how many chairs to set up and how many “goodies” to bring.
